WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY

 

D. Ross Renovations & Roofing warrant to the Building Owner of the above-described building, that; subject to the terms, conditions and limitations stated in this warranty, D. Ross Renovations & Roofing will repair at our expense, any leak resulting from faulty workmanship on our part, for a period of 10 Years (15 Years for hand-nailed roof installations) commencing the date of completion.

 

 

This warranty is subject to the following terms, and conditions:

 

 

 

​​a) Our obligations under this warranty represent the full extent of our liability for or arising from improper installation of materials.

 

b) We shall not be held liable in any way for any damage to the said building, any contents thereof, or the interruption of business or occupancy.

 

c) We shall not be held liable for or to effect repairs made necessary by any cause other than faulty workmanship on our part.

 

d) The owner shall notify us in writing immediately should any problems arise with the roof.

 

e) Traffic on your roof will be limited to access for regular maintenance only.

 

f) Pressure washers are not to be used on or near your roofing system.

 

g) Roofing system must be kept free of acids, oils, harmful chemicals, moulds, fungi, and other contaminants.

 

h) Should deterioration or failure of building components occur causing damage to the roofing system we have installed, we will not assume responsibility.

 

i) No other persons other than D. Ross Renovations & Roofing. will tamper or alter the roof without our written consent.

 

j) The warranty is issued to the owner of the building at the time the work is performed. This warranty is transferable to a new owner one time only, at our discretion. D. Ross Renovations & Roofing is to be notified within 30 days of ownership transfer.

 

k) For the duration of the warranty the owner shall undertake to perform, or have performed at his/her expense, the following maintenance:

 

i. Regular inspection of the roof, two times a year or more if needed

ii. Keep all eavestrough, and downspouts free from obstruction at all times in order to permit normal evacuation of water from the roof surface

iii. Ensure roof is free from excessive accumulation of snow, ice and water

iv. Ensure roof is cleared of snow and ice without causing damage to the roof

v. Ensure moisture level inside the building is not excessive

vi. Ensure tree limbs and vegetation is cut back and roof is regularly cleared of falling debris.

 

 

l) No responsibility or liability is assumed in respect to repairs made necessary by gales, hurricanes, tornadoes, hail storms, fire, lightning, earthquakes, or similar phenomena or hazards.

 

m) Complete payment to D. Ross Renovations & Roofing, within the specified time period of the contract, is a condition precedent to the warranty taking effect.
